April Smalls SAL 2015

Whew!! That was a long blogging break!! After the first few busy weeks of April, and knowing there was even busier weeks to come (homeschool convention and dd's formal!!), I knew something had to give, and it ended up being blogging time:) That is okay though since I was still able to squeeze in some stitching/yarn time and now that things have settled down some I am back here and can show some things off!!

First things first... The Smalls Sal is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus. You can join in anytime with a finished 'small' project on the last Wednesday of the month.

In March I participated in Tree Bird Blog Hop hosted by Madam Samm of Sew We Quilt (Stitch). I stitched the bird on the right of the hand towel below. This month for the Smalls Sal I finished up the hand towel by stitching the bird to the left. I love how this turned out and I think my mother-in-law is going to love it!!
For May I hope to work on an exchange block for a stitching group I am in. I need to find what I am going to stitch for it first!! :)

Smalls Sal - Feburary 2015

http://stitchinglotus.ca/2015/02/smalls-sal-2015-february-check-in/

The Smalls Sal is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus.

I am so happy with my results this month. My project truly is a 'Small' at only 1 1/2 in x 3 in, but it turned out so cute and not only did I get the stitching done, but I finished it into an Ornie too!!! Here is a picture...
This is a small chart that is in Prairie Schooler's 'January' booklet. That makes 4 ornies all stitched and finished for the year!!

Smalls SAL - Jan 2015

http://stitchinglotus.ca/2015/01/smalls-sal-2015-january-check-in/
The Smalls SAL is hosted by Heather at Stitching Lotus. This SAL set up to help us stitch small designs such as ornaments or bookmarks, etc. I'm choosing to focus my year on making Christmas ornies for myself and to give as gifts as well as small exchange pieces.

This month I stitched an ornament for myself. I figured after the last couple months of stitching for others it was time to do something for me:)
This is Winter Song by Blackbird Designs found in the 2008 Christmas Ornie issue of JCS mag. If you had been following my other blog, you will recognize this one as this is the third time in the past two months that I've stitched it!! :) I stitched it for an exchange and also for my sister-in-law. I love stockings though, and so I wanted one for myself.
